What is a nameplate
In case you're not sure what one is for plate in Minecraft, in the next few lines I will explain in detail the purpose for which this object was implemented in the game and how to use it.
Therefore, you must know that any creature present in Minecraft can have a name (with the exception of the Ender Drago): each player has a nickname and even non-player characters and animals can have one, thanks to the plate.
You can therefore use this object to assign a name to the animals you have tamed or to recognize an NPC (non-player character) from a village that you particularly like, just to give you some examples.
Unfortunately, you cannot create a tag using the resources you collect during your adventures, but I'll talk about this in the next chapter of the tutorial: now, instead, I want to explain how to use a tag, in case you manage to get one, maybe thanks to the suggestions that I will give you in the course of my guide.
A tag cannot be used directly to assign a nickname to a Minecraft creature: first you have to engrave a name on it, the same one you want to give creatures when interacting with this object on them. The operation in question can be carried out only through the use of aanvil.
To build this tool, you need to add 3 Iron Block units e 4 unit of Iron Bar in a bank gives lavoro. An ingot is obtained simply by processing in a furnace of raw iron, which you can easily find underground. When you have obtained the bars, place them 9 unit inside a workbench to create a Iron Block.
After crafting aanvil, place it on the ground and interact on it, to open its management panel. Enter, therefore, the plate in the free slot and click on the wording "plate", to rename it. When you're done, grab the resulting object from the slot on the right, which will contain the nickname you set.
Now, equip the plate and, interacting on a Minecraft creature, you will automatically add the nickname of your choice to it: you will be able to see the final result through the appropriate wording that is shown right above the creature's head.
How to get a nameplate
Given that the plate it is not an object that you can create in Minecraft, the only way to get it is to find it during some specific activities. One of these, for example, is to explore the Mansions or underground mines: you can find, in short, this object as a reward inside the trunks hidden in the game world.
In addition to what has been said in the previous lines, you can also try your luck during the fishery, with which you can have a good chance of putting up a tag with yours fishing pole: I told you in detail about this activity in another guide.
My advice, however, is to add the bonus Luck of the Seas to the fishing rod, so that you have a better chance of finding a tag. You will then need to make a spell bench, as I have explained to you in this guide of mine, and try to get a book with the spell that I have indicated, in order to add it later to your fishing rod.
Finally, if you are used to trade with village NPCs, you should know that the Librarian, at the level Maestro, allows you to obtain the plates in exchange for emeralds. Achieving this trade level requires some patience, as you will need to trade several products before unlocking this specific trade.
How to get a nameplate through tricks
If you are in a hurry to get the nameplate in Minecraft, all you have to do is access the unlimited resources available in the mode Creative. If you have already created a world in this mode, by accessing the inventory, you can very well find this object, through the tab Research.
If you find yourself in mode Survivalinstead, you have two alternatives, both of which consist of using the command console: Change the game mode to Creative or add the tag directly to your inventory. But let's go in order.
First, you need to make sure you have enabled the command console (also defined Cheats in some versions of Minecraft). In the Java Edition, you can do this during the world creation phase, by choosing the voice Other world options and making sure the option commands is set to Yes.
Alternatively, if you had created the world in mode Survival, press the menu key and select the item Open in LAN. At this point, change the entry to Yes, next to the wording commands and press the button Start the world on LAN, to confirm.
In the version Bedrock Edition of Minecraft, on the other hand, when creating a new world, make sure that the option is activated Cheats. Again, if you had not activated this option previously, go back to the main Minecraft screen and, in the list of worlds you created, press onpencil icon, to change the server settings, making sure the option is enabled Cheats.
Now that you have enabled the command console, it's time to use the strings that will allow you to get the nameplate on Minecraft. As I told you before, in case you just want to change the mode on the server (from that Survival to that Creative), you need to open the chat (the T) and type the command / gamemode creative.
By doing so, the game world will switch to mode Creative and you will have access to unlimited resources, which you will find inside the avatar's inventory. To return to the mode Survival, use the command / gamemode survival.
If you don't want to change game modes in the world you created, you can simply type a command string that allows you to add the tag directly to the inventory: /give @p minecraft:name_tag.
How to craft a nameplate using mod
If you want to enable the craft of the nameplate su Minecraft Java Edition, then you will be forced to use a against used for the purpose. To do this, however, you will first need to install Minecraft forge, a tool that allows you to manage add-ons for Minecraft.
To proceed, go to the Minecraft Forge website and press the button Installer, in order to download the file .jar by Minecraft Forge. After downloading the latter, double-click on it and press the button OK, to install Minecraft forge on the computer.
Now you need to download the mod Craftable Name Tag, which you find on the CurseForge.com website: then press the button Download. Once the download is complete, go to the main Minecraft directory (C: Users [name] AppDataRoaming.minecraft) and place the .jar file of the mod you just downloaded in the folder mods. If you don't find it, create it manually.
At this point, start Minecraft and press the ▲ icon, which you can find next to the button Play. In the box that is shown to you, then select the profile Forge and fai clic sul tasto Play. Now, all you have to do is enter a world of Minecraft and place, inside a workbench, 1 units of Lanyard, 1 unit of Gold Bar e 1 unit of Card. Easy, right?
