    Download Minecraft on iPhone

Given that, as already mentioned, downloading the original version of Minecraft for free on the iPhone is not possible, as it is a paid game with a cost equal to 7,99 €, however, we try to understand, as anticipated at the beginning, how to purchase and download it from the App Store. This way, if you have to think again, you will still know how to proceed.

To be able to download Minecraft on your iPhone, the first fundamental step you must take is to grab the device, access the home screen (the screen where you find all the applications installed on iOS) and tap on the icon of the 'App Store (Quella with the letter "A" in the center and the light blue background), the official app store present on devices based on the mobile operating system of the Cupertino company.

Once the main screen of the App Store is displayed, press the icon Search, which is at the bottom right, type the term Minecraft in the search field, located at the top, and then presses the button Search attached to the virtual keyboard. At this point, select the corresponding search result from the list of games and apps that is shown to you, stop on the button with the words 7,99 € and confirm your willingness to proceed with the purchase of the game.

Finally, type in the password of your Apple ID or place your finger on the Touch ID sensor (if your device supports it) or, again, use the Face ID (if you have an iPhone X) in order to start the procedure for the download. If you want, you can speed up the execution of all these steps by connecting directly to the section of the App Store dedicated to Minecraft by tapping here from your iPhone. Have you never bought digital content from your iPhone? Then I suggest you read my guide on how to buy on the App Store.

Once you have completed the download and installation procedure of the game, press the button apri, to start enjoying Minecraft on your iDevice right away. Alternatively, you can start the game by pressing on the relevant icon that has been added to the iPhone home screen.

Finally, I would like to point out that, in addition to being paid for the download of the game, there are also some additional contents (not mandatory) attached to it, which can be unlocked through in-app purchases.

If desired, it is therefore possible to buy skins, textures and game worlds. To do this, just access the section Shop of the game, present on the main screen of Minecraft. Among the extra goings, however, free content is also available.

In all cases, an account is required for their download Microsoft: if you don't already have one and you don't know how to create it, you can read my tutorial on the subject to find out how to proceed.

    Alternative gratis a Minecraft

Since, as already mentioned in the previous paragraphs, at the moment it is not possible to download Minecraft for free on the iPhone, if it is not your intention to spend money to buy the iDevice version of the famous game, you can turn to valid alternatives that are completely free (or in any case both free-to-play) and worth a try at least once.

Clearly, precisely as alternatives, these may not go to resume in all respects the original game and, compared to the latter, I may have lacks and / or imperfections. If you don't pay particular attention to it, they can still be great solutions.

Below you will find, therefore, indicated the games "in sauce" Minecraft that in my opinion you should try on your iPhone, if you are looking for something similar to the famous title.

    Block Craft 3D

The first among the free alternatives to Minecraft that I suggest you consider is Block Craft 3D. It is a beautiful Minecraft clone of a free-to-play nature, which can therefore be downloaded and played at no cost. There are also some optional paid content (eg gems or the ability to fly your character) to be unlocked through in-app purchases.

The aim of the game is to build various objects and buildings to bring your village to life and make it develop as much as possible. The graphics fully reproduce that of Minecraft: it is three-dimensional, "squared" and is sufficiently fluid.

    MultiCraft

Another free game that you can download as an alternative to the "real" Minecraft is MultiCraft. It fully incorporates graphics and dynamics of the title of Microsoft and Mojang. You can choose whether to play in creative mode, playing the role of a builder, or playing in survival mode, instead dressing those of an unscrupulous hunter who will have to do everything to survive.

For the rest, the game has nothing to envy to the original, if not the presence perhaps a little excessive of advertising content. However, considering that it is a completely free title (there are no in-app purchases), it is definitely worth a try.

    The blockheads

Another free Minecraft alternative game that I recommend you try is The blockheads. The title stands as a sort of hybrid between the title Mojang and Terraria, another very famous open-world game in which you have to explore the surrounding environment, build objects and protect yourself from enemies. Even in this case, free-to-play mechanics are provided, with optional in-app purchases.

The graphics, on the other hand, are almost identical to that of Minecraft, but the view is in 2D, therefore only and exclusively horizontal scrolling.

    World of Cubes Survival Craft

The graphics are slightly more, let's say, modern than the classic Minecraft, but World of Cubes Surivavl Craft however, it manages to establish itself as a valid free alternative (but with in-app purchases to unlock additional content) to the latter, also because the game mode is practically the same.

In fact, you can create customized worlds and you can access the muliplayer mode, having fun with other online users selected at random or with friends. You can then explore universes and worlds created by others, you can search for your own maps and much more.

Also note the ability to customize your character by choosing from over 100 different skins, organized by theme. The same goes for the textures: you can choose the preferred one from the various packages available.

    Worldcraft Pocket Edition

Worldcraft Pocket Edition is another sandbox-type game that takes up the glories of Minecraft. It allows you to play in creative or survival mode and offers good or bad everything that can be found in the, so to speak, original version of the game. The graphics are also practically flawless.

The only real negative notes are the fact that the game is subject to some lag and that, from time to time, annoying advertisements pop up, which can still be removed through in-app purchases. The fact always remains that, for it is a no-cost alternative to Minecraft, it is certainly interesting.

    Minecraft: Story Mode

In conclusion, I would like to report you Minecraft: Story Mode. The game fully incorporates what is the incredible and fantastic universe of the title of Microsoft and Mojang and presents all the elements of the classic sandbox. It differs, however, from the latter for its being a pre-built adventure that changes according to the decisions made in the course of history. The settings are therefore those of the classic Minecraft, but the dynamics are very different.

The title was developed by the famous software house Telltale Games, probably known to most for The Walking Dead, Tales from the Borderlands, Wolf Among Us or Game of Thrones. It includes free-to-play mechanics.

Minecraft on other platforms and gameplay tips

Now that you finally have clear ideas on how to download Minecraft for free (or rather, the alternatives available) on iPhone, I would like to point out to you for completeness of information that, in addition to being available for computer and iOS, the famous crafting game is also usable on Android, Windows Mobile, on various consoles and on Apple TV. The game is in all cases paid, but a free demo version is also available for PC.

For more details about it and to find out what needs to be done to download / buy the game on computers and other devices, I suggest you read my article on how to download Minecraft, in which I have proceeded to talk to you in depth about the matter.

Alternatively, if you want a completely free solution, I recommend you give it a try Minecraft Classic, a version of this famous video game that can be used via a web browser. I warn you, however, that Minecraft Classic is one of the first versions of Minecraft to have been published (dates back to 2009) and, therefore, does not reflect the gaming experience offered from the most recent editions.

Nevertheless, it can be a valid free alternative, considering that it is also official, which will allow you to destroy and build the world of Minecraft, even together with your friends (up to nine). I told you about it in detail in my guide on how to get Minecraft for free.

And if you want some advice on how to play, you can read my post on how to play Minecraft. Always to allow you to play in the best possible way, I also recommend that you also take a look at my tutorial on how to install mods on Minecraft, as well as my article dedicated to how to create Minecraft skins.
